Montfort Speech & Debate Team chosen to participate in The Yale Invitational

The Montfort Academy's Speech & Debate team was chosen as one of 75 high schools in the country to participate in the 2018 The Yale Invitational, which will take place at Yale University in New Haven, CT, from September 14-16, 2018. Not only was Montfort selected to participate in this prestigious debate & rhetoric competition, but also we received the news that eight of our students were selected to participate, an exceptional number. Following The Yale Invitational, members of Montfort's debate and rhetoric team will participate in the Princeton Invitational in December, the Columbia Invitational in January, and the University of Pennsylvania Invitational in March. Congratulations to Mrs. Frank and to our team for qualifying. Knowing how much the spoken word is an instrument for defending and preserving Truth in this world, let us pray that Our Lord bless our team's endeavors.
