MONTFORT SPEECH MEMBERS QUALIFY FOR STATES

On Saturday, March 2nd, the Montfort Speech and Debate Team competed in a combination State Regional and National District meet at Pelham Memorial High School. Competing were Thomas Curro in the NSDA Hudson Valley District Tournament, and Kaitlyn Curro, Amanda Muscente, Jayna Randolph, Alessandra Carino and August Boland in the NYSFL Westchester Regionals. The competitions were tough, with students competing for slots in NYSFL and National championship events. All the students performed well, with Amanda and Kaitlyn both qualifying for the NYSFL Championships in April (Thomas has already qualified). Over the next few weeks, there will be a few more meets to determine who else might be able to qualify for the NYSFL championship, or the NYCFL National meets.
