TESTIMONIALS FROM PARENTS ON HOW THE MONTFORT ACADEMY
HAS HANDLED THE CORONAVIRUS
I want to thank you all at Montfort for the careful attention paid in advance planning for what we didn't know for sure would come to be. Your attention to detail made the transition to online distance learning appear seamless and provided much needed continuity and normalcy to the lives of students, staff, and families. Truly a gift of peace in a time of fear, chaos and turmoil.

I just wanted to drop a line to express our gratefulness, pride in, and praise for the job everyone at Montfort is doing for our children and our families. Please pass my note on to Mr. Greco and all the faculty and staff. It’s times like this that solidify our confidence in our decision to have our son spend his high school career at Montfort. You’ve all gone above and beyond in your creativity, and drive to ensure the kids not only continue the excellent education they receive, but also to help them maintain some sense of normalcy in this current chaotic and harrowing time, and our appreciation is boundless.

These are challenging times, words cannot begin to describe how thankful we are for the amazing work from The Montfort community. The staff and teachers are the glue that keeps Montfort together. The ability to empathize with students and constant belief in the staff inspires us all to learn. We are forever grateful.

I have to express that Montfort has met these challenging times with excellence. I thankful to the dedication of the teachers and the administrators for all that you are doing to keep the children engaged and encouraged. I have to say that Dr. Leibowitz and Mr. O’Sullivan are my favorite online professors because they command the children to stay on task by having them read out loud and write down down unfamiliar words. I also appreciate their wit and patience when the kids are slacking off. I know God has a great plan for us all and I hope you do not mind me bragging about Montfort.

I commend The Montfort Academy in its preparedness spiritually and academically in an unprecedented time. As a parent of three with two others in prestigious schools, Montfort has far exceeded expectations in preparedness. My daughter's first day has been an amazing smooth transition to live online classroom education.

Love the Hillsdale message - they need the personal interaction but you nailed this - you were ready.

Major shout out to my son's school, The Montfort Academy. They've been getting ready for remote learning for over a month now. My son had breakfast, has his coffee, and will be at his (bedroom) desk/computer in UNIFORM at 8:30 sharp, ready for home room, Pledge and Prayer. I'm sure there will be glitches. But I am so impressed that at least his school has it together, even if I don't.

You have all done an excellent job with the Continuity of Operations Plan. Quite impressed.

We cannot thank you enough for all your hard work... We deal with three schools, and Montfort is by far the most prepared. It is so important to keep them on a routine, and because of this, our son’s days are not filled with worry... I cannot imagine the amount of work and preparation this took by everyone at Montfort. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Having one less worry right now is a true blessing.

Thank you Mr. Greco and the faculty for implementing such a fantastic regimen for the Montfort students during these trying times. I’ve been hearing from parents outside of Montfort that though they have online classes or not for their children, the kids are finding a ton of confusion and unsure of what is recommended or needed from them and classes are not all day schooling. Bravo to you all for taking upfront initiative prior to the closing of schools, my daughter is informing me of no real confusion and says doing the work is the same online as is in class and no confusion has been met! Praying daily for Montfort families and the state of our nation daily, may this end sooner than later!

Dear Doctor Liebowitz
On behalf of all your classes, I would like to say thank you for being so great with this transition to Zoom! You are an excellent teacher, and you always know how to make class fun. I always enjoyed how you tried to make our history classes engaging, and I thought that would be the hardest thing to convert to online classes. However, that has not been the case, and you have continued to make online classes just as appealing as they regularly are. I feel as if we have made great progress in your class with our studies on zoom, and that is because of your hard work, and great teaching methods. One of the first words you taught us this year, was the word resilience. You, and the other teachers of Montfort, are great examples of this attribute. You all had to learn how to use Zoom, and figure out a way to teach us all of your students through it in a short time. This was a drastic change, especially for a school such as Montfort, which is not strongly technology-based. However, within weeks, each of you learned the software, and if I did not know any better, I would think you have known it for years. Thank you for always being such a dedicated teacher, and genuinely caring about your students. I feel very lucky to be your student, and I hope to see you and all my other classmates again soon!
Stay safe,
A Student
