Brent Scowcroft Library

of International Affairs

Former National Security Adviser of the United States of America Lt. Gen. Brent Scowcroft (USAF, ret.) and his colleagues at The Scowcroft Group of Washington, D.C. made a very meaningful and extraordinary donation of his personal collection of the biographies and autobiographies of world leaders.  Many of these precious volumes are signed by Presidents of the United States, Vice Presidents, First Ladies, Prime Ministers, Secretaries of Defense, Secretaries of State, and many others.  The collection represents an extraordinary treasure of knowledge and experience of history, foreign affairs and international relations by the very people who helped shape that history.  Montfort is unique among high schools to have so precious a collection, which we named the Brent Scowcroft International Affairs Library, in honor of one of America's greatest men, who was at the center of many of the great events of the 20th Century including the fall of communism, Tiananmen Square, and the War to Liberate Kuwait.  There are few words that can describe the impact of Brent Scowcroft on American history and on the lives of many young people he mentored, especially in his very pragmatic approach to United States Foreign Policy.  The Montfort Academy is forever grateful to this American hero for this very special collection.
