Mr. Stefano Miceli

Stefano Miceli is one of the foremost Italian pianists and conductors in the world.  He has performed at the most important festivals and theatres including Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Berliner Philharmonie, the Fenice Opera House of Venice, the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing, and many others.  Mr. Miceli has conducted or directed many of the world’s finest orchestras; and his assignments have included tenures as Principal Guest Artist of the Cameristi della Fenice at Venice Opera House (2004-2007), Principal Guest Artist and Conductor of the Leipzig Philharmonic and the Gewandhaus (2010-2011), Conductor-in-Residence of the Orchestra Sinfonica Italiana (2008-2010), and Music Director at the Milano Metropolitan Orchestra since 2012.

In 2008, Mr. Miceli was given a Silver Medal by the italian President Hon. Giorgio Napolitano (Rome, Italy).  On November 7, 2015, he was chosen by the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella to conduct the Saigon Opera House Philharmonic in Vietnam to celebrate  the new cultural cooperation program Italy-Vietnam.  He is also Founder and Director or the International Summer Music Camp of Italy in Brindisi.  Mr. Miceli has served as Head of the Music Department at La Scuola d'Italia in New York City, New York Classical Music Society Director, Italian Academy Foundation Artistic Director and Artistic Director at the Gran Gala Bergamo at Donizetti Opera House since 2003.  Stefano is affiliated with Universal Music Group and is a Steinway Artist.
