Mr. Matthew Terilli

Mr. Terilli comes to the Montfort Academy from the Academy of Our Lady of Good Counsel in White Plains, NY, where he taught Chemistry and Physics for eight years.  During his time at Good Counsel, Mr. Terilli began a Quidditch Team.  Quidditch is the sports game made famous in the Harry Potter series.  Students actually use brooms while trying to score goals.  It is so popular on the college level, including such schools as Harvard and Yale, that each year colleges from all across the United States come together to compete in The Quidditch World Cup.

Mr. Terilli went to Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.  He currently is pursuing his Master’s Degree in Theology at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers, NY.

Mr. Terilli is a Lay Franciscan and has worked for the Church his entire adult life.  He is the Master of Ceremonies for all the high feasts, and continues to serve as the Sunday Sacristan in his parish, which he has done for over twenty five years.
