Early dismissal at 11:42, right after period E and before lunch.
Montfort students were treated to a very special presentation by Admiral J. Robert Lunney, a dear friend of Mr. Greco who served in both World War II and the Korean War. Admiral Lunney spoke about Captain Leonard LaRue, who commanded a ship on a humanitarian mission in the Korean War. That mission has been described as miraculous because 14,000 people were rescued on a ship that was designed for only 60 people. Captain LaRue later became Brother Marinus Leonard LaRue of the Benedictine Order, and his ship is now called The Ship of Miracles. Brother LaRue's cause for Sainthood is now underway, in part led by Admiral Lunney, who served on the Ship of Miracles. Admiral Lunney is the last remaining crew member of the ship.
