The Montfort Academy

The Montfort Academy has students who travel from many different areas to come to our school. We have students from as far north as Dutchess County and as far south as NYC and others travel from Connecticut towns located east of Katonah. There are a number of ways our students travel to school.

The Montfort Academy is located at 99 Valley Rd., right near the Saw Mill Parkway, 684, and route 35. See the Google map for specific driving instructions.

FROM THE NORTH, VIA THE SAW MILL SOUTH: Take the Saw Mill S and turn right at NY-117/Woods Bridge Rd. Go .6 miles and then turn right onto Valley Rd. The school will be .3 miles ahead on your right.

FROM THE NORTH, VIA 684 SOUTH: Take 684 S and get off at exit 6 for NY-35, towards Cross River/Katonah. Turn right at Cross River Rd/NY-35. Then take the first left onto NY-117/Woods Bridge Rd and go .6 miles. Turn right at Valley Road; the school will be .3 miles ahead on your right.

FROM THE EAST, VIA 84 WEST: Take 84 W to exit 20, which merges onto 684 South (toward White Plains). Get off at exit 6 for NY-35, towards Cross River/Katonah. In .2 miles, turn right at Cross River Rd/NY-35 and take the first left onto NY-117/Woods Bridge Rd. Go .6 miles and then turn right onto Valley Road; the school will be .3 miles ahead on your right.

FROM THE SOUTH, VIA 684 NORTH: Take 684 N to exit 6 for NY-35, toward Cross River/Katonah. The exit ramp is a bit long; stay on the exit ramp, slightly to the right; you will come to a traffic light. Turn left at that light onto Cross River Rd. /NY-35. Go .2 miles and turn left onto NY-117/Woods Bridge Rd and go .6 miles. Turn right onto Valley Road; the school will be .3 miles on your right.

FROM THE SOUTH, VIA THE SAW MILL NORTH: Take the Saw Mill Parkway N and take exit 42 toward Railroad Ave; turn left at Harris Rd. Then take the first right onto Bedford Rd/NY-117. Go .2 miles and turn left at The Terrace. Take the first right onto Ashby Place; turn left at Valley Road and the school will be on your right.

BY TRAIN: Katonah is a stop on the Harlem (blue) line on MetroNorth; many of our students travel this way, both from the north and south. Our students often walk the half mile together to and from the train station, through the lovely and safe village of Katonah. BY CT SHUTTLE: If you live within a commutable distance from Ridgefield, CT, you can take the HART Ridgefield-Katonah shuttle bus. The shuttle to get to Katonah for the start of school picks up at The Ridgefield Lot and drops off students at the Katonah MetroNorth train station. BY PUBLIC BUS: The #19 public Westchester Bee-Line bus comes right through downtown Katonah. Please visit their website for bus routes and timetables.

BY SCHOOL BUS: Many local communities provide school busing to The Montfort Academy. The following districts accommodate students via school bus: Bedford, Byram Hills, Carmel, Chappaqua, Croton-Harmon, Harrison, Katonah-Lewisboro, Lakeland, Mahopac, North Salem, Ossining, Peekskill, Pocantico Hills, Somers, and Yorktown.
