Game 1 vs Soundview The Montfort Fighting Knights Soccer team lost to Soundview Prep by a score of 3-1. Montfort kept it close in the first half, with the stout play of 1st time goalie Rodger Wright, who stepped in with limited practice time as goalie. Beginning the 2nd quarter down only 1-0, Joe Margand tied up the game at 1 with his superb play at forward. Soundview pulled ahead, however, with two more goals in the half. While the excellent defense of Rocco Palumbo and Mark Edelson kept Montfort in the game, the tireless attack Benjamin Rodriguez and Patrick Jennings gave Montfort numerous opportunities to pull even. All around, it was a great effort by the boys. |
